Rather than reinventing the wheel by developing their own implmentation, which would take a long time to develop and test, Proton should implement an already existing solution that's specifically designed to achieve EE2E synchronization of PIM data.īy opting for Etebase they'd achieving not only the contacts synchronization people are begging for, but also that of calendar entries and tasks with one single solution. It's the only sync solution I've ever used that's not had problems with duplicates or missing data.īeing able to use this with ProtonMail would be perfect. I've been using it for a number of years already, and it's never failed, not once. It already works with Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, macOS, Thunderbird, Evolution, Kontact,, and any other CalDAV/CardDAV client. EteSync provide a ready to use, open source, and well established solution for adding end-to-end encryption: Etebase ( ). Dont ever use this service for time sensitive e-mail. I will be leaving this service as soon as I can. You can only contact them through ZenDesk e-mail and the responses are slow if you receive any at all. Ideally Proton would achieve this by integrating an EteSync server. The customer service of this company is extremely slow and poor.
